The ADDER KNIVES BUFF SKINNER is a tool originally designed by me for making the initial opening cuts when field butchering Asiatic Water Buffalo in the Northern Outback of Australia.
The opening cuts are the most damaging to knives as they are cutting through not only the very thick hide of the animal but often a layer of mud ,dust and very course hair which quickly dulls the edge of your knife.
Alternatively this tool uses standard utility (STANLEY) knife blades which are cheap and easily replaced when blunt, the tool's design also makes the operation safer for the user as there is no sharp point to stab yourself or anyone else with if you slip and the finger guard protects your knuckles from dragging along the course hide.
Although designed for Buffalo it is also being used successfully by professional Kangaroo shooters  and on other species including deer , cattle, camels and other large animals in Australia as well as the biggest of big game ,Elephants in Africa.
Machined from Aluminium with stainless steel fasteners. Accepts standard utility blades from Stanley, Trojan, and other generic brands.
